Gebo Hatch Refurb

A friend of us went the same route and is currently installing new hatches...

The point is that you run a very real risk the hatches will start leaking after you've replaced the plastic. That is what our friend found out the hard way.

The official word of GEBO (a Dutch company by the way) is that it is not worth the effort. Buying new is much 'safer'.

Cheers,

Arno

Hi,
I gather that it is possible to get the plastic/acrylic replaced in these hatches. Can I have a company recommendation from someone who has had this done....

Thanks.

As said above you might just replace the whole unit cheaper
I have bought some seals from this German company ,Who i have found extremely helpful & priced competitively

We have Gebo hatches and I'm replacing them with another make.

Not impressed at all with the Gebo. I find the latches very flimsy and the covers for the hinges might as well not be there they fall off so often.

Whilst it might be cheaper for my to replace the problem latches, the hatches were new in 2002 so I might as well replace them with something more solid.

There are some good deal on hatches around if you look and ebay has them from time to time.

(PS would recommend Eagle, have used them and they are very helpful)
