gearbox newage coventry

I have a thornycroft 108 with a newage coventry gearbox, I do not have any info re this gearbox.
Can anyone suggest a source, please.
This is the third season I have had the boat (a Colvic Watson 26) and I suspect a gearbox oil change is due. I have a new Crosland filter and a tag on the box says use Castrol GTX, but I could use a diagram to identify the filler and drain points.
She is a great boat but our combined sailing abilities mean that a healthy engine and gearbox are essential to get anywhere other than downwind with the tide.
Any info would be much appreciated thanks.

I could be wrong, but I think that your gearbox pre-dates the PRM era. I think your gearbox is the old type epicyclic planetary gear with three toggles for forward and a brake band for reverse. To identify this type of box, it is first of all, round rather than square, it has a square inspection hatch about 4" square secured with 4 bolts on top and has the brake band shaft protruding either side of the box just in front of the inspection hatch.

The gearboxes were also fitted with long handles so as to get enough grunt to engage the gear. If I am correct then the filling is done through the square cover and for the life of me, I have no idea where the drain is. last point, if I am right, and you need to adjust the toggles then mage sure you tie a bit of string to the spanners as oily fingers can let spanners drop into the box and that is not a good situation
