Gearbox info

Hello,
new here so apologise in advance if this is in the wrong area.
I have also tried the search function for answer to my query.

Basically, I need to more info on a gearbox we have inherited as part of a project we are doing.
It is a Self Changing Gears
model MR11/b
the plate says see instruction manual for oil grade but as yet we dont have the manual

I need to know which oil suits this unit.
Any help appreciated.

From memory I would think that straight sae30 is what you would use not multi grade

Unless I have missed it, they tell us that it needs a traction fluid but nothing about which grade. There seem to be many alternatives, e.g. http://santolubes.com/products/santotrac/index.html I think the OP needs to carry out some dedicated Googling and telephoning.

I'm afraid that your links have nothing to do with the OP's gearbox. He has an old Self Changing Gears box, which looks like these pics...

Freedom Marine have been able to source spares for SCG for me in the past.
Try googling for train gearboxes- they were fitted to them as well as marine versions.

Yep, thats the one.
There is very little info on it that I can find on the net after several hours of "detailed googling"
I have contacted Freedom Marine and Jeff there has been very helpful so far.
