I do not venture into this forum often but must confess to a childhood fascination with MTBs.

I was down in the wilds of SW England yesterday and saw The Gay Archer for the first time.

Bad photo, I know. I've read the google info on her but wondered if some here could tell a floating caravan owner a bit more?
 
She has spent the last 25 years on the hard at Northwich Cheshire up the river Weaver I have been on her a number times (We wintered there form 1980 to 1993) it has taken some time to get all the work done to her and I must admit I thought it would never happen a few years ago but a number of owners and lots of Restoration. The present owner has put in a lot of work to restore her. Her for deck gun is genuine with the firing mech disabled, The torpedo tubes are not but this does not distract from the good job he has made. She is to do displays around the SW and good luck to Her and her owner a real genuine Chap.
 
Idont know anything about her history but she certauinly looks well looked after now.

Sadly this post coincides with the winding up of the Coastal Forces Veterans Association, whose members would have all the gen. The guy to talk to if you're really interested is Capt. Trevor Rowbotham, who's the Project Director of the Coastal Forces Heritage Trust, based at the RN Museum, Portsmouth, PO1 3NH (02392 727564).

There's a small display about coastal forces in the outer office of the Hornet Sailing Club in Gosport, which has a small album devoted to the Gay Class, including a couple of Gay Archer on fire in Denmark.

The sailing club has a member who served with coastal forces and remembers the Gay class.
