Bought these Gauge stainless steel bezels but im finding it a difficult task for me to take out the gauges out to install. All those wires are making me confused and crazy:)
Would it be a good idea to enlarge the diameter by a few millimeters in order to fit the bezel in gauge from front and apply silicone for the bezel to keep in place. If i have to change the gauge it could be done with only the silicone holding the bezel.
Views please? Would the stainless steel be damaged if grinded a bit?

Sorry, tried writing than using my phone then deleting....oh dear...
Anyway, take pics and label all wiring before removing the gauges and fitting them properly, from one of your previous posts I believe this is a relatively new boat hence why bodge it......do it properly, or if you're not confident, pay a man that can....
Not a hard job at all.

Thanks mate. Yes its a new boat. Honestly hate messing about with those all coloured wires and im not confident about doing the job:). Or else leave everything as it is and forget about the bezels:)

Are the bezels actually swappable or do they glue over the front of the existing ones? If the latter then I wouldn't bother. Suzuki make gauges with chrome bezels which you could swap them out for like these.

Paul at Yellow Penguin is a Suzuki agent so should be able to do this for you - especially as it was a new boat.

No they do not glue over the existing ones. Gauges have to be removed and bezel will sit at the back of the gauge. Honestly i tried and tried to remove the gauges but ive quit in trying to remove them. too complicated for me. Sent bezels for diameter enlargement. Will put some silicone and slide bezel from the face of the gauge and attach at back where it rests with the console. I know its not the proper thing to do but will have a try this way. Called an electrician to do the job and said it is a small job for him and wouldnt come. Is there another type of adhesive besides silicone that adheres well but could be taken off if need arises?
