The title referes to the Outer Sporadies in Greece. An account by Michael Corroll if his experience there in the early 60s (?) Sailing his boat there and meeting the islanders, finally building a house at Panormos on Skopolos.
I came across the book while we were bareboating about there some years ago and we moored overnight below his house. It paints an interesting picture of life before mass tourism.

Another book I am re reading”voices of the old sea” by Norman Lewis is about Spain in the late 1940s on the costa Brava covers the same period on the cusp of tourism
