Our gas water heater (Paloma), is not producing any hot water. The pilot light ingniters ok
but the won't work when a hot tap is turned on.
Troubleshooting says not enough water pressure but not sure how to check this?
Wondered if anyone has had this problem?

No experience of this make of heater but if it heats water instantaneously rather than storing it and the pilot light is staying on I suspect either poor water pressure, have you noticed this at the other taps? The diaphragm has stretched / got a hole in it or the spindle between the diaphragm and the gas valve is sticking.
Probably a different model but look here http://www.tanklesswaterheaters.com/media/downloads/71/paloma manual.pdf page 14

We had a similar problem, it was the diaphragm and I did not know how to change it (I'm really not into gas appliances). I asked for a service engineer, its a Bosch unit, and the callout charge was higher than the cost of a new unit. The 15 year old unit is in my workshop in the box for the new unit we bought and I installed - I hate throwing good money at a project - but it was quick and painless even if I was not entirely proud.

I cannot get any hot water.
Make sure the Controller is turned ON.
Check that the water shutoff valve (which adjusts the flow of water into your Paloma) is fully open.
Open your hot water faucet to full. At low flows below minimum GPM, the Paloma will not fire.
In summer, if the incoming water is warm, try increasing the temperature setting.

Thanks for the replys.

Played around with it at the weekend and with two taps fully open it just about lighted but only gave warm water.
Reading the instructions for the pressure pump it looks like there is low pressure in the actuator.
Need a car footpump which I didn't have with me so will try checking the pressure and increasing it if required.
Not on the boat for a couple of weeks but will report back!
