What should I expect to have to pay to have the regulator and pigtails replaced on a 36 foot Dufour? Most of the supply is copper so it is an approximately 450mm pigtail at the gas cupboard end and approximately 600mm hose at the cooker end plus a new regulator.

I have just been quoted £350.00!!

Any recommendations for gas engineers in the Southampton area?

I can highly recommend Darren Cox at GasWave, Southampton on 07473 039626.

He's ex Apollo set up on his own and fitted new braided hose at the stove, orange hose at the bottle, test point, elbows & tap. Tested and supplied certificate all for £220.

Re the braided hose at the stove, the boat had the original orange hose as fitted by Beneteau when the boat was built in 2016 but Darren informed me that this doesn't meet UK regs and the flexi hose (gimballed stove) has to be metal braided.
