I normally use Calor for cooking with but of course in cold weather this is sometimes a little slow. Can I use Propane instead and would I have to re-jet the cooker for this different gas.

No re-jetting required, but you do, of course, need a different regulator. We have Camping Gaz in our boat (which is butane mainly), but use Calor propane and butane interchangeably on our motorcaravan.

are you aware that there is a small screw on attachment that allows you to convert a camping gas screw in type bottle into the normal fitting for a calor gas regulator, thus you can use either calor or camping depending on where you are cruising

Camping gas - more easily available on the continent
Calor - a lot cheaper.

Readily available in most caravan shops!

i believe that you can run on butane if you have a propane regulator (but not vice versa). having had my propane cylinders refilled in some odd places they have occasionally been filled with butane and i haven't noticed the difference.

Not sure about this one, since the pressure created in the bottles is different for the two gases. This, presumably is why the regulators have different fittings and can't be interchanged.
