Gary question!

Dad very kindly bought me the cable that links Gary (Garmin Etrex) to the lap top on which we've got Garmin Mapsource. But Gary's not too keen on talking to it. Only played with it for a minute so maybe it was human error, but it has occured to me that he is not meant to talk to the puter! Anyone know if this is the case and is there any software he will talk to?

Trawl the net for waypoint software for garmin plenty around, mine works ok with 128 and maptech.

1. On the Nav Setup page ensure the DATUM is set for WGS 84
2. On th Interface page select NONE/NMEA

I'm assuming it will be similar to the GPS 12 but its probably settings like these that need selcting.
