Here is a really dumb question, I think.........

Everytime I turn on my plotter, it says that the GPS 17 signal has been lost, and the icon showing the boats position has a red question mark in it.

Turning the unit on and off a few times fixes the problem, however it seems to be getting worse, and harder to remedy each time. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Where does the signal from the satelites come to on my boat, I can not see an aerial, and I presume this would be the first place to look for a bad or dirty connection. The boat has a radar dome, is the signal received in here?

Any suggestions of how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks GL /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

My 3010c has a seperate round gps aerial wired to a junction box then to plotter but your plotter may have an internal aerial, check the spec.
