Garmin map 550 Abnormal power down

Unit will not power up, any ideas welcome

Perhaps it's broken.

Does the screen illuminate at all? If it starts to get going and then stops, it may be corrosion on your lead that supplies power. That happened to me.

Thanks for the reply,no i have a new lead rigged up at home to i can do all my routes on the warm couch!
Held SELECT whilst powering in to get into test mode.......Worked after that.
