Using Garmin Homeport on my PC (windows 7 OS). All works fine using the same maps as per the plotter and able to save and transfer routes and user data from device to device all via an SD card - so far so good. But, to get the PC to "see" my blue chart maps they have to be on SD card media. I have tried to get Homeport to "see" other virtual media (inc creating a new VHD on the system HD which launches with autoplay and appears like any other storage media device) so I don't have to keep a card plugged in, but Homeport will not "see" the map files other than using a card. I cannot find any setting changes in Homeport to have the software look elsewhere to an assigned address. So........ does everyone else just use an SD card for the detail maps (like you would in a plotter) or is there a way of putting these maps on the HD so Homeport sees them?
