Garmin HD Radar cable join

I have a pole mounted Garmin HD radar which had its cables cut when the boat was transported by road.
Is there a specific cable connector I should used or will any sort of connector suffice?
I am conscious that I don't want to introduce any interference to the signal from naff connections!

Solder and heat shrink would seem the obvious answer.
