Garmin hand held offers on ebay

I have learned a lot today, I continued following the auction of the GPS...normal value about 320 pound.. sold on the auction for 30 pound... What a bargain if true..... However, seems that Ebay got wise to them and "The seller is no longer registered with EBay"... so luckilly no-one got ripped off on that deal.... this time !!!

There are a lot of people who are taken in by the Chinese scammers. If you look carefully at some of their feedback you will see what is called a feedback ring. A Chinese scammer has a feedback of say 10. You look at who left the feedback. It all scammers who also have a feedback of 10. You look at who left them feedback (guess the number!!!)

You don't even have to search for the frauds any more. On eBay's top page there are direct links to ipod and laptops sellers that are fraud/scammer sales.

Do a search on pioneer avic - every Chinese and Irish sale is a scam.

On the marine front (just to keep this boaty) then ALL the Garmin items, and the Raymarine E series are Chinese scams.
You will also see a Raymarine C 120 item pop up every now and again (USA seller)- thisdand all the other items he is selling are fraud sales.

On eBay go to Community > Groups > Trading Assistants (in Sellers Groups > No money by Western Union.... you have to join to get an idea of what is going on.

You can also be protected if you pay by credit card. When I sell on ebay I give my customers this option.
