Can anyone tell me if I set up the WiFi wireless network on a Garmin GPSMAP 820 chart plotter, will I be able to receive from an NMEA 0183 wireless NASA Clipper wind instrument? Thanks

The clipper puts out a MWV sentence on 0183. At page 41 of the 820 manual, it says that it recognise the MWV sentence. So you should be able to make it work. However, you'll need to hook the clipper up to a wifi transmitter of some type if you're aiming to make it wifi rather than hard wired, as the clipper doesn't have a wifi capability.

The Clipper Wireless Wind transmits to a supplied base unit which outputs NMEA0183. So you can wire it to your 820 plotter easily; it doesn't need to be wirelessly connected.
