Garmin. GPSMAP 76 charts and cable

I have been lucky enough to have been given a Garmin GPSMAP 76 with Canadian charts by my father in law. Any suggestions on sourcing UK charts and a PC download cable? Is it going to be worth it? We have no other chartplotter. OR shall I just keep it as a handheld GPS and buy a new colour chartplotter when I have the money?

Try here for your cable. Easily available in many other places. Just Google Garmin GPSMAP 76 for other choices.
