Two problemettes for the price of one:
My garmin plotter displays a projected header line. Not sure what use this is and I would prefer a projected track line but can't find any means to change this. Is it possible to do so?
Secondly, my radar overlay displays buoys, beacons etc. about 3 degrees anticlockwise to charted positions. On approach to the target the radar is correct but without radar activated the chart is accurate. I've fiddled with N up, Course up, GPS track, boat heading etc. with no success. Any suggestions?

Your plotter should be able to show a heading line or course line. You can only get heading though if you have a gyro compass connected to the plotter. As for the discrepancy on buoys is this perhaps due to setting a variation?

The heading line can be changed from compass heading to COG. Go to Menu> Layers> My Vessel> Heading Line> Angle Markers> Source then choose COG if you want that, or North Reference if you want compass heading. You can also choose the distance of the heading line, or show a time-related position.

As for the radar overlay, you should be able to adjust the radar image so that it matches the chart.

Thanks, this has solved the main issue re. Heading line. Still playing with radar offset.
