Has anybody on here ever had to take the back off a Garmin 72 handheld?
I have one, bought it new 4 years ago but never used it.
Gave it to a friend who used it for 2 days, and then it stopped working.
Tried putting new batteries in, but no go.
Read in the manual that there is a fuse inside, so thought I would investigate that.
Took all the tiny screws out, and took the hair band style rubber insulating gasket off what appears to be the joint of the two halves of the unit.
But it seems to be a VERY tight fit, and does not want to come apart easily.
Hence why I am wondering if anybody else has been in this situation before?
Or have any suggestions re what might have gone wrong with it (other than perhaps the alleged fuse)?
