Further to my recent post 'Studland drag' there were 2 responses making reference to an anchor alarm facility on the Garmin GPS 60. I have recently aquired one of these and I dont know if I've missed something but I can find no reference to this feature in my destructions. Can anyone give me a lead??

P.S. The Studland drag post generated some interesting responses albeit a bit vitriolic in some cases. We partake in a chill out sport and all have the same interests at heart......it is a shame to see us getting cross with each other.

Worse things happen at sea!

It may have been me who mentioned the alarm. I have a Garmin GPS48 (handheld). No sure how similar they are but on mine it is, Main menu, Set-up menu, Alarms, Anchor drag. Then just turn it on and select a distance.
I hope you saw my 'special' idea of how to break out the anchor.
Totally agree about everyone getting on. We should not be affected by a very small minority.

I have a Garmin GPS60C.

On page 53 of the manual it deals with Marine Setup.

The top box on Marine setup is the setting for Anchor Drag Alarm. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
