Garmin have discontinued data cards. Does anyone know anyone who stocks them that may have some in stock left over as opposed to the usual order as needed. I need the UK and Ireland one?
That was the reason I got rid of my Garmin plotter. Never again.Sorry I can't help, but Garmin do seem to have 'form' for this kind of thing.
They are a bit quick to drop support for what are sometimes rather expensive products - maybe we are odd to expect a chartplotter to be still in use after 7 years. That was how old mine was when they said they were unable to offer support or repair/replacement.Sorry I can't help, but Garmin do seem to have 'form' for this kind of thing.
Across all models, or just yours? Which model?Garmin have discontinued data cards. Does anyone know anyone who stocks them that may have some in stock left over as opposed to the usual order as needed. I need the UK and Ireland one?

You may find one on ebay. There are some suppliers who often advertise and I think can transfer from one format to another. This kind of thing really annoys me when suppliers try to force you to upgrade/replace a perfectly good piece of equipment by withdrawing their support.Garmin have discontinued data cards. I go told that by a to electronics company.....best go Raymarine next time.
I was told the same by Raymarine with a Radar, and also by Simrad on a pilot.
A radar doesn't need regular updating, though - you fit it once and use it for maybe twenty years, it doesn't matter if the manufacturer brought out a newer one the week after you bought it. Also, if it does break and you want a drop-in replacement, you can probably find another of the same model as old stock or second-hand. But there's no point at all in replacing one 2008 set of charts with another set of identical 2008 charts - you want 2015 charts in the same format and they simply don't exist.
