Last summer we bought a Garmin 450 GPS for Tigger. It is nice to have in the cockpit, and came with UK/Ireland charts. I noticed they do not extend beyond Audierne in S Brittany. I was looking up the prices for an extension, and if I get thsi correctly it means ~ £150 to shell out. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif.
As everyone here knows I am a skinflint and I literally flinched at this. Did I get it right? Is ther a better way/cheaper way to extend the e-charts on the Garmin?
And before you say it: yes, I do have paper charts...
