Can anyone help me please? We have just bought a boat with Garmin 550 GPS but it has no charts. I have been looking on Ebay and found the BlueChart G2 for £29.00.

Now then, am I missing something here? it just seems TOO cheap! Is it a 'layer' that has to go over another chart or is it the actual cartography in it's own right?

A naive question I know but I would appreciate any advice
