A while ago I asked about a Garmin 45 memory battery, I can now update all those who wait with bated breath for further news.
There is a memory battery in said GPS, it was never intended that this battery would be replaced by the owner. Garmin no longer support the 45 (fair enough at this age).
If you open the body, you will find the battery mounted on the PCB, it looks like a 5p coin on its side (mine has a brown edge). The battery is soldered into place. Garmin advise me that any 3 volt lithium coin battery will do as a replacement. I will have mine replaced by the weekend, if anybody wants more information just let me know.
