GARDNER 5LW Stolen ....

I was looking to aquire this Gardner 5LW - ostensibly as spares for my own pair, but this one;

... was stolen last night from the chap selling it in Wales ... along with some other engines & gearboxes.

Purely to highlight it ... if you come across one for sale in 'strange' circumstances.

I am not out of pocket, but I feel for the guy that owned it and I detest thieves.

A friend of mine has a business which buys and sells diesel engines, (excavators, cranes, ex army generators etc) thieves entered his yard by climbing over the fence, started a HGV, started the fork lift, loaded the truck up with engines, and smashed their way out through the steel gates. Nothing is safe any more.

Depending on what spares you're after, I know where there's a 5LW sitting in a wood. It's attached to the front of the remains of a prewar Bristol bus.
