Hello
can anyone help me? I have purchased an ADVERC galvanic isolator and would like to know how you wire it into a Bavaria ?

Well how I did it was to split the incoming three core lead going to the rcd/circuit breaker and ran this incoming earth to the "Shore" side of the Galvanic Isolator . I then connected a new earth wire of the same rating from the "boat" side of the GI back to the earth connection that was severedd. Any further boat "earths" must be made to this side of the GI and not to the "Shore" side The GI is mounted on the back of the door (on my 42) in the space below the switch panel. As an extra sophistication, some people insulate the terminals with self amalgamating tape but since the door is closed most of the time it is of marginal extra safety value.

Be sure that you hold the bottom nut of each stud with a second spanner to avoid the studs turning in the unit as you tighten the outer nuts which will damage it.

Hi Steve
thanks for your reply, I have wired mine up the same except that I have also connected a wire from the boat side of the GI directly to the negative pole of the batteries.
This was on advice from Opal of Hayling island,do you agree with this?
