had thought about that but wondered if there were unusual fittings for boats???

All the boats i've seen with a pressurised hot/cold system have standard domestic taps.

You may have to buy some adaptors to connect to the plumbing but it's not difficult or expensive.

I replaced the 22 year old Franke taps on my boat with e bay specials and they have been more than satisfactory.
