gallart 18.50?

as some of you may know i have been looking for a good used 50-60ft boat , i came across this gallart 18.50 05/06built launched 07 year it looks really nice in the photos and well specced. i was just wondering if anyone knows about this manufacturer, or has ever seen one?.

what i do know

1 its spanish
2 they seem to manufacture millitary and civil patrol vessels
3 they have a website but the english translation doesnt work
4 i can find lots of 80s and early 90s boats for sale but nothing else, other than this one?

are there so few because they are really good and people like to keep hold of them, or do you think this is a one off from the manufacturer to test the market for pleasure yachts then never buit any more?.

yes looked at the website but the english version doesnt work, i only ask because one has come up and it looks v nice ,also very reasonable price with a seller willing to take offers . i dont know why but i always seem to be drawn to really obscure brands .

Looked at a Gallart myself (and I did choose differently... ) ..

Looked solidly built, but not state of the art stuff... mid/small sized builder, not chasing latest trends, but stuff what was well engieered, works on deck and functions below.

Worth looking for and usually represesent good $ value if you intend to keep for a number of years, but probably slower selling than the main brands...

thanks alf , have mailed the broker for more info , i wont hold my breath though as it seems all brokers are really busy and dont have time to action any enquiries? makes me wonder why they even put email contact details on their websites . you said you chose differently, what have you got?

Got the contact and the CEO actually remembered building the boat, so got some history from him ...

True she looks very nice.

I studied her very carefully and found out that the maintenance has been next to null in many years. Seems that there have not been too much interest to use the yacht or to take care of it. Also found out number of technical issues that shall be fixed and that means extra pounds to spent on her. Price request is competitive but....
