Glorious morning here.
Horrid weather given for Sunday.
Any body else nipping of afloat to check moorings etc.
Must remember to take sugar milk chocolate biscuits etc
(nicked from wifes secret stash) etc, for very vital sit and think period needed to produce list of "stuff to be done"while sitting in wheelhouse.

B.....y hell where did all that wash come from.
Er looks like a B....m to me.

Had some hopes of the odd half day to round off my first season before lift out in a couple of weeks. Unfortunately had a call from the mechanic chappy today - made a mistake and winterised the boat/engines a couple of days ago instead of just prior to lift (as planned). Well that seems to be that! Having dificulty coming to terms with such a big investment just sitting doing nothing for five or six months!!

So why you take it out then?? Use as country cottage in the winter on sloshy days. Saves loads of parking problems for just down to the pub. No breath tests so christmas, much more fun. Theres still some good days in the winter, not to be missed.

Went out for hour or two to"charge up Batteries".
Beautilful day and quite mild..
Boat is coming out for antifoul plus propellor undenting.but then straight back in for use over winters months.Went out on Xmas eve lasr year, during afternoon, dead calm and even sort of warmish as I recall.

Gales indeed, 8-10 here in Jersey. The waves thru la collette were reaching 2ft in the harbour alone during the last storm and that topped out at a force 9. Added 10 more ropes to boat to make sure but the pontoon could still come adrift i suppose.
