Galeon 530 - Dusseldorf - 4

Thanks Novio,

Great to have an owners point of view. I have seen a few second hand, and there are not that many, and they fall into well looked after and good nick, neglected and poor nick. I also believe when Tameside marine (birmingham) were importers at the begining that their workmen doing PDI were not too hot. I like them, always have done and think they are great value for money.

Cheers

Though they had the styling well done on their recent efforts, the 390 is very Phantomesq and the 440 looked ok at SIBS. Not sure about their new 290 though, seems they still have some homework to do in the design stakes:

Yep, still in the throws of growing pains, it will sell purely because of the price and the amount of space you get but never a classic thats for sure. Mind you there are some premium builders produce some turkeys too! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think its virtually impossible to build a stylish 29 foot flybridge, cos its always going to look as tall as it is long, but even so that is one seriously ugly boat

I always thought Bertram got it right with the 28

You still see a few of them around and they still look good to me. Eye of the beholder and all that, of course.

ManLogic - great /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

What I have found to work best is appealing to safety. And it works on everything: sports equipment, bigger cars, boats, you name it. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
