Gaff saddle covering

I found a shop in Chatham that sold small amounts of leather. Sourced some copper tacks from somewhere, and did it myself. Fairly easy job.

there's a leather worker ? in preston lanc's . bear leather i think. i could ask him ?
i think you'd find it easy to do your self though if you get the leather.

Hi Jollyrobber and welcome the the CB forum.
Try a saddle maker or to find one enquire at an equestrian establishment they will tell you where there is a saddler in you area or an old fashioned shoe repairer. Both should have suitable leather offcuts to do the job.
It would help if you filled in your bio then peeps would know your area and be able to help in a more constructive way.
Any chance of you posting a photo on here of your boat for us.
Cheers David.

Classic Marine sell leather - I've just bought a bit to re-leather my gaff saddle. They might even do it for you if you call them although it doesn't look too difficult.

Article in CB Dec 94 tell you how to do it (someone just gave me a load of old CB's). If you are interested in the article let me know although I'd better not say I'll copy it!
