I ordered a set of Trem dinghy wheels at well below the best price I could find anywhere else. The delivery was foc and they were extremely well packaged. A very happy customer, I will be using them again.

Gael Force is the only chandler I use. Mind you, they are only 100 miles away, so I can get someone to pick the stuff up for me and deliver it the same day. The prices are great and the range is huge. The place is huge inside, more like a small supermarket! lol
A new Chandlers has just opened up here in Wick, so I will use them more often. Support the local man where possible!

One of the staff from Gael Force posts on these forums. He comes up with some pretty useful product info. If he doesn't know the answer he'll soon find out and post the findings. I haven't seen him post recently but his responses are straight and to the point with no spin. A valued contributor.

Its "Fishy Inverness"

It'll be a their loss if Fishy has gone...

.

Thanks UXB and Talulah both, I am touched! Regrettably yes, it's true, I have now left GaelForce for a life in banking (Yes, I know!) I had a lot of fun working in the marine industry, and keeping in touch with all of you, some as customers, others just as forumites to banter with - But I did really want to go in a different direction for a career path...

I might be here from time to time, if my current regrettably heavily target-based job allows! Hopefully with my own boat at some point in the middle future, in the meantime, I'm sure Neil, Jenni, Nick (Don't get confused he's not a clone!) and the other lady of whose name currently escapes me, will continue to offer an excellent telephone service from The 'Force...I believe Nick was also looking at the forums himself to a capacity before I left and he is a liveaboard and kayak instructor so he is well versed to keep everything up to date and hopefully keep Gael Force's reputation up on the forums! :)

Thanks to everyone i've spoken to on here, with the exception of a few wee arguments here and there, it has always been fun.

Take care and fair winds guys

Nik

Another satisfied Gael Force customer.

However there's one thing they need to change.

If you look at the back of their shop from across the river, above their name it states "Marine Megastore"

Their advertising consultant really needs to google "marine megastore" or search threads on here, to find that a company of that name is not well thought of.

If I were Gael Force, that's the very last thing I would put in large lettering on my shop.

And fair winds to you too. Thanks for your banter and service.
Good luck.

But BANKING?????????

Yep, unfortunately so! I have past qualifications from a time spent in Offshore Bonds on the Isle of Man and it seems a sensible route to develop a career...

Are there Inshore and Coastal Bonds as well?
Perhaps, like Winnie-the-Pooh and East and West Poles, "people don't like talking about them".

At the risk of being really boring you can get onshore bonds. No one talks about them as they are regulated by FSA and taxed in the UK so they're not "sexy".

I've used them a fair bit, both mail order and also visited when I was berthed in Inverness for a couple of months. Always found them good value.
