Fusion MS-IP600 Questions

I was about to take my Fusion MS-IP600G back to the shop but managed to sort out my issue thanks to Barry Richards of SM Group (Europe) Ltd of Plymouth (Tel 01752 241 000 or e mail barryr@smgeurope.com). He is their tech johnny and supplied an updated list of sleeve combinations for newer ipods/iphones that is the same for series 600 and 700 models. He was very helpful. The American Fusion website has the same list under "Tech Support" FAQ "What Fusion ipod/iphone sleeve combination do I need for my Apple ipod/iphone?" SM Group are the European distributors of Fusion products.

I'm feeling very unobservant here. I've never noticed that Sirius thing, even though I have 4x 700! Also, the penny hadn't dropped with me that you can Bluetooth the iPhone 5 - thanks NigelP. You learn something everyday. I'll have a play around when on the boat this weekend

jfm are any of your Fusion units interfaced to your NMEA2000 network. I should soon be fitting a new Fusion 700i system to a Targa 52 along with a Garmin 8015 plotter and will be interfacing it all together. I am told that the Fusions display will also show NMEA200 data such as wind speed, depth etc. Any info?

Indeed they do, and more, they can be controlled from compatible MFDs using ethernet, I have fitted three this year, all for rough service and they are panning out well.

I haven't connected the three in cabins to the backbone, due to being on the limit as regards LEN and already having 2 power supplies to the backbone (I have 30+ items on the N2k backbone), and due to it being pointless. But I have got the flybridge Fusion 7000 on the N2K network and yes it will display N2k data like depth etc and can be controlled from the Garmin 8000 screens. But tbh I do not use that functionality - it is solution looking for a problem
