Furuno radar

I have a Furuno 1830 Radar that is refusing to fire up from standby. The 2-min warm up appears to operate ok except there is a flashing box that says “No BP”. When the TX button is pressed the scanner picture does not appear the screen it just stays on standby. Any ideas please?

I had a similar problem with a 1730(?), also the message HD sig miss was showing. After several attempts to clean relevant connector pins at the back of the display I had a man from Greenham Regis examine the system. He found the radome was cracked which had let the connections on that end get damp. GR suggested removal, clean up and a new cover however next time i tried it it worked and has done since Easter. Probably examine it again this winter.
