Hi I recently purchased a used furuno gp 3500 from another forum member to install into a rib I'm fitting out.
I'm trying to do this on a budget as it's an additional boat & don't want to end up with a fortune tied up in it
I had assumed I could use a standard chart chip that I already have however the furuno uses its own version chart chip

Is there any way to copy the info from the Cmap chart onto the furuno chart that came with the unit

Alternatively anyone got a furuno chart for the west of scotland they want to sell or even swap for a English channel chart

Cheers
Ken

It's a cmap chart not navionics (you chose at time of purchace) the problem is the chart I have is on the oblong with a chamfer on the side chip & the unit takes a furuno specific chip what I wanted to know was there a way of copying the data from the normal cmap chip onto the furuno one
I wondered if there was a card reader available to transfer via a laptop
It's £150+ to buy another chart with the same data I already have which is a bit of a pain
Cheers

Cheers for the suggestions but it still looks like £179 for the area I want
I'll look out for a used one untill I need to buy one in the spring
Cheers
