Furuno 1722c NMEA Connection

Hi, I have a Furuno 1722c radar/plotter and want to connect to my autohelm. I am using the data 2 port with a four lead cable (which I think is correct) but can't seem to get NMEA out. Have tried multiple configurations within set up, but no success. Anyone got any advice?

With my Furuno gadgets the white wire is NMEA positive (data out) and the blue is NMEA negative. Are both devices set up for the same version of NMEA. You could try emailing Furuno UK - I have found them helpful in the past.

According to the wiring diagram I was looking at white was nmea out and black is nmea negative. I also tried putting a scope across all combinations of wires but could still not see an output (as I can with my older chartplotter). I did try the different version settings but still got nothing. I'll try Furuno as you say.
