Upon raising my mast this summer I noticed my forestay wire is frayed at the top of my mast. I Am trying to find a new wire. Any help would be amazing!!
The boat is an O’Day 23

thank

It's a pity the mast is back up but I did mine last year and kept the mast up just supported on a couple of halyards. It's a simple enough job once the forestay is on the level. The stalok fitting is an integral part of the furlex so it needs to be separated anyway to remove the forestay. I would identify the fitting on the mast, the length of the forestay and size allow a bit extra and order from a rigging supplier. At the same time get new wedges for the stalok fitting.

Important to work out why it frayed as you don't want the same thing to happen to the new one. Is it just fatigue or could it be caused by halyard wrap. If so you need to fit a deflector of some sort. If you are using a good rigger maybe worth getting him to check it
