In an old tin box, together with an assortment of sailmakers needles, beeswax, etc., I have found a very curious looking needle.....
This needle is 2 1/2" long and cylindrical throughout, with a blunt point, that is, the point is not particularly sharp.
What intrigues me is the holes.
There are two.
The one in front is round and the one immediately behind is a slot.
Any ideas as to its use ?
