There is no tide the level changes depending on how much rain is dumped (and possibly a Dam?) and how much sun sups it up.

Yes, it's very strange boating in a hard desert. Amazing rock formations and twisting canyons. Suspect it gets very busy in Season with pontoon boats to the fore.
It's somewhere I'd like to go back to and to spend a week on the water.
