Fun Keep\'s You Young

We were out on Windermere last week on a friend's steamboat and saw this guy having fun. It turned out that our friend knew him so we anchored up and the dinghy sailor came aboard for a cuppa. He told us he'd been out for a 5 hour sail a few days before. He's had the boat for over 40 years.
He's in his mid 70's! I hope I'm that active when (if) I get to that age.

What a lazy lazy git!

jeez, so he's worked so infrequently and/or so ineffectively that he's still got the same flippin boat as he had when he was 35! In 1965 fer chrissakes. No white heat of technological revolution for him eh. All this time daft sods like the rest of us are slaving away paying loads of tax so he can swan about and even sit on YOUR boat (with galley, unlike his ole wreck) and chatter on about how well he's doing!

Er it's the Mail you read innit? Or was it the Express?...

Glad you brought that up. I only buy the Westmoreland Gazette. Other papers are a day old, left by guests. Have you ever read "Heat"? Don't.

At his age!

He keeps it on a launch trolley ashore. Mind you the speed he was making nothing would stick. We went about to track down the shore to meet him at the end of his next beat and we couldn't get ahead of him. (Tenacity only does about 5 knots at full steam pressure)
