He just phoned me specifically to let me know that in that part of Greece at present, they have 15kts across the beam, clear blue skies and its 30 degrees, and they are enjoying a bottled of chilled white as they sail.... and while I was on the phone to him, a dolphin came to play in their bow wave....

Git! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

there's sailing game with all those visuals on Wii. I reckon FC's doing a crafty week in Scotland and putting you off the trail.

Just had a weekend like that - some friends who kept their boat at Heybridge had a get together and it seemed at every possible moment they had to remind me that as of now they are liveaboards heading for the Med.

As we sailed from Heybride they made a flag hoist to tell the world (or the few who can read flags or those who asked what do those flags mean) 'We are bound for the Med.

I hoisted the response

That's nothing, we had a porpoise gambolling in our wake near the Maplin buoy yesterday evening. And the sun was shining. Greece? Ha!
On second thoughts.....

I did similar to a friend a few years ago. I phoned him (whilst he was working) to say we were on a mooring off the Royal Yacht Squadron in Nancy Blackett, that Velsheda was going past under full sail, and that I wanted to share the moment with him. "B%*st$rd" was his one word reply.

The title of this post did, initially rather strike me as 'unEast Coast Forum like'. However on reading I see it was entirely justified. Umm I'm off to Madeira tomorrow.........

Neil, check your mobile phone bill mate, last time someone rang me from abroad I ended up paying most of the cost of the international transfer on PAYG and it cleared my account, that's a Full Circle total git trick /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Might well have been that way round /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif it's been a while now
Chance for a bit of revenge in that case though, call him back /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That's nothing.
We were racing on The Crouch on Saturday, had a 7 mile beat against a foul tide for no apparent reason, got several facefuls of muddy water, and saw a jellyfish.
Greece, who needs that?
