Having wasted most of the season, we decided its best if we sit out this year in a marina, so access is easier for Mrs FC when I am not around.

So, we will be wending our way round from Rochford on Saturday.

Give us a wave if you see us, and pop in for a drink if you catch us on the pontoon.

I am soooo looking forward to this. My first sail of the season. Hurrah.

You picked a good weekend Jim, from the weather reports I'm looking at it's going to be a hot weekend
None of them there naked sailor pic's please :o:D

Dates, come on, we need dates ..... :D

My god the man with a vendetta against Ikea furniture has also popped his head up last time i seen you mr CPD you were practising diving on to bed side tables of course you were single then (just)

Just got to hint of a piss up in here and all sorts of un desirables crawl out of the wood work

Well this is looking good. I have brought the weather home with me.

Much loved daughter wants us to go look at a house with her tomorrow. As a dutiful parent fronting up the deposit, and given a choice of house viewing or Full Circle sailing, there can only be one winner.

So, Full Circle here we come.

Life can be so tough sometimes.

Happy happy.
Got away from Rochford starting at 1.5m depth, and crept slowly out, checking systems and sniffing for those little problems.
Looks like the log transducer wiring has parted and so not working, and Raymarine wheelpilot still not adjustable so it works perfectly, but hey ho.
Noticed the missing loudspeaker up the mast, where did that go?

Engine smooth, realignment of mounts and new cutlass bearing doing the job.

Boat still filthy, but have discovered Farecla Rapid Stain Remover. Ermm, wear gloves!

Genoa looking grubby., may take that for a Novowash this winter.

We have forgotten to load a lot if things, and have now drunk all the remaining out of date beer. Phew. Thanks to Paddy off Conachair and Engines Dunn for quality consumption reports.

It's just great to be back on the water again.

PS 2 takeoffs and 2 landings without incident, didn't embarass myself.

Inherited roughly two hundred bottles of beer dating back to the 1970's here, no sell by date on any that I can see. Mostly collectors edition types, some limited edition numbered ones, very tempted to try one or two as they're made by breweries that don't even exist anymore
Point being, does bottled beer go out of date ? :o
Glad to hear you're back out there Jim, might get a chance to go for a paddle in the rubber duck if I'm sneaky :D

Well done that man, all work and no play makes Jim a dull boy

Artemis on the other hand is still high and dry as we continue with the political chess game of trying to gain a berth in Larnaca being there is a major part of that. We could be in the outer harbour but decided against it as there is a lot of swell as tripper boats speed in and out and a high risk of damage.
We tried it last year and lost the two fairleads from the stern so thought best to wait them out on the hard. they are half way through installing new pontoons and having had a meeting with the manager when completed they should have an extra 20 berths available by the end of sept. We have it in writing that our berthing application is being considered so fingers crossed we get a space.

We will launch end of sept no matter what and do some sailing if no space in Larnaca will head to Karpaz then Turkey
