I have been trying to access the aboves website (www.fuelock.co.uk) for some time but have been unable to. Are the company still trading does anyone know.

With liftout and winter storage coming up soon I thought it prudent to find some way of securing the full fuel tank on my boat and am considering purchasing one of the above but would appreciate feedback of anyone who has used one, positives and negatives.

Alternatively Vetus sell a 'Fuelsafe' that prevents someone from getting a syphon tube into your tank, it fits in the filler tube. Does anyone have experience of using one of their on there boat?

I installed the Vetus anti-syphon gadget earlier this year. Easy to fit and we haven't lost any diesel so I guess that it works.

I bought a Vetus Fuelsafe gizmo then realised that if I fitted the thing I could no longer dip the tank .... ********!

I'm wearing one and I've not been bitten by any alligators so it works!

nb: I'm a bit worried that if an alligator REALLY wants to bite me, amulet or no amulet it will. hmph.
