I have recently acquired a Hustler 25.5 fitted with a Perkins 10hp diesel engine. Its fuel filter and fuel/water seperator looks a bit small and I would like to install a more robust and easy to replace filter system It has been suggested that I fit units from e.g. a Ford diesel van or similar (easily available spares etc.). I would welcome any other views for a practical and economical approach to this problem.

my expensive vetus unit turns out to be identical to the one on my 1990 land rover discovery if that's any help. also the land rover one still has the neat little plastic drain tap which vetus no longer fit.

Looked at the website and it is very good. I would like to replace my CAV separator with one that has an integral priming pump. Is there one that would be a straight replacement? I might also consider one of the RACOR separators.
