I need 4 fuel taps so I can fit 2 fuel filters in parallel. I could use two T taps, but they're silly money and I have far to much Yorkshire blood to pay silly money if I can help it.

ASAP seem to be about the cheapest, but their fuel taps need adaptors to fit to my 8mm fuel line, which pushes the price up more than a little.

B& Q have 8mm compression fit gas taps for quite a bit less than the combined cost of the taps and adaptors from ASAP. B&Q's help desk was up to its usual standard, so couldn't tell me if there was any reason - like plastic inserts that would be damaged by diesel - why I shouldn't use the B&Q taps.

Can anyone here tell me?

All I can say is that my Eber is supplied by plastic pipe - supplied by Eber.

May I ask how much the bandque one are?

[/ QUOTE ]From memory, a bit over a fiver.

The filters originally had banjo fittings. A 1/4in BSP thread goes in, but seems a bit slack. Would it seal up with PTFE tape? If so, the 1/4in BSP fuel taps would go straight into the filters and I'd only need one adapter per tap.
