Yes! the recent water in tank thread has got me thinking ( and worrying!!).

I usually examine my seals whenever I fill up but after 20 odd years they may be ready to give up the ghost!
The boat is in Sardinia so it would seem sensible to go out armed with some seals.
These are the original deck fillers ( chrome on brass I think) about 1.5“ diameter but, if memory serves they were sort of flat rather than ‘O’ ring form. Could this be the case or are they just flattened ‘O’ rings.
I could guess and buy some on spec but has anyone any better idea.

Mine sound similar. I cut new washer type seals (diesel and water fillers) from some nitrile rubber sheet (about 2 or 3 mm thick). The rubber sheet was in a small pre-pack in amongst the nuts and bolts on a rack. They seem to work OK.
