I have a compressor, I was thinking of putting some air through the filler cap breather pipe and see if it holds pressure. But I’m not sure that I could seal up everything adequately to measure a pinhole leak with accuracy. Unfortunately this will require waiting for my back to improve a little more before I lug the compressor to the boat

DO not waste time with a compressor that is designed for low volume and high pressure. Use a dinghy pump. It is more than adequate and might not blow up your tank.Is the fuel tank level still going down now the boat is static?
