Fuel tank leak

One of the neat things about a Tesla is that they continue to improve even after you have bought it...for example there is a rumor that the braking will be improved so that the brake pads last longer than the estimated 200,000 km that they last now
Yep, you certainly have to admire the way they've really moved EV technology way faster than any of the big auto companies, forcing them to up their game.

But you did have :(
If all else fails , bake the preferred boatyard a cake and deliver it with a friendly ask ..???

So many ways to fix this thing. At least the fuel is going up in value.

And there’s a …

wait for it ……

Shaggy Dog Story too.

10/10 for entertainment and persistence in the face of Gallic obduracy ???

Unfortunately a good deal of the Gallic obduracy seems to be coming from the Saou region....
Took me a moment … ?
I’m sure there’s a very good wood butcher there who would have your pesky joinery apart faster than you can say “ it’s not the destination but the journey that counts “ , in French
Or sommat

And yet his dodgy Porsche is still running on three wheels.....

Back on all four paws now and all going in the direction they should be but not for a week or so given the weather, will stick to the good old dirty diesel 4*4. How's the milk float? although you probably don't have any snow.

No snow...but it is a little chilly in the wind...otherwise it’s spring as usual...and the Tesla copes very well....in fact the dual motor all wheel drive is apparently very good on snow...providing you have the correct tyres on of course

That is so not boating weather
Good set of treads though

AIUI the motors are central front and rear, how is differential managed?

I recently went for a spin as a passenger in a new Model 3 dual motor, my first time in an EV. Obvs very very quick off the mark, apart from that not very nice was my perception. Mostly I thought the car ruined by brutal suspension.

The M3 does have harsh suspension....but many fast cars have that for the handling over comfort...there are other cars in the Tesla range with higher ground clearance and a softer ride...but driving a Model 3 dual motor is such fun that you don’t notice the hard suspension after a very short time?

Quick update....the new boatyard we contacted last week is a bit more proactive...they have just sent someone to inspect the boat...he will contact us this afternoon to tell us if we should take the boat to them... tomorrow morning is perfect weather for the trip but the forecast then deteriorates badly and the next window maybe some time off

Awesome. What’s their plan
Well...it’s complicated... but would you expect different ?‍♂️ There is no standing room at the haul out place...so the boat will be towed (after they lower the mast) to their own yard...then they will either test it or just take out the tank...apparently the boss has experience with this and had a Swift Trawler 44 (larger than mine) and they found a defective weld and rewelded it...but it’s probably engine out...

....they want the boat there by 9:30 am...it’s about an hour by fast trawler...so it’s an early start...
