I'd be surprised if it was the tank ... the boat can't be very old. More likely a connection somewhere.
That is what I am hoping. But the amount of fuel coming out is worrying, it’s slow but steady. With the boat out the water, with the fuel taps off, where can it come from? Is there a drain plug in the tank?I'd be surprised if it was the tank ... the boat can't be very old. More likely a connection somewhere.
If I still had my Volvo I would have recycled it. But of course I don’t put anything in my boat tank that I can’t swear by so I just dispose of it (responsibly). Can you find the tank manufacturer plate? They”ll probably have tech drawings so you know exactly where to look to rule out fitting points.
defo neat diesel? Not water / rain water contaminated with diesel (I’m ever the optimist)
Yes I have one of those and another with a bendy wire. I thought if I could get some spotlights I might just see a pin hole but I also wondered about baffles in the tank stopping the endoscope having a good look around.Just a few random thoughts. Does the tank have a drain point lower than the supply take off somewhere? Also, I'd be surprised if you could see anything with an endoscope inside the tank - the hole would have to be a gusher to see daylight. Would be useful in seeing the drip out though (I had a similar experience at home last winter - a wet patch in the ceiling below 2 bathrooms. I drilled some holes and stuck an endoscope through and finally found the drip which lead me to find the leak- a pinhole leak in some copper pipe. I used this https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07ZH9P8QH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I guess no sight tube either on the side of the tank Bouba?
one or two vents?
can you see where the vent exits the tank (granted would be plain silly not to have the vents at the top but you never know...)
if it's indeed tank leak, I'd put my money on a screw tip on the other side of the bulkhead fouling and eventually holing the tank.
I hope to get to the boat in a few days.Welds fail .Show us a few pics of the tank ps .
Alright guys you now have very little time left to solve this problem !
I’m going to the boat tomorrow. If I don’t at least find the source of the leak, the wife has threatened to go talk to Beneteau?
Have you got a diesel heater or water heater.Alright guys you now have very little time left to solve this problem !

No only the engine (single) and the generator are diesel. Tomorrow I will check for any signs of a leak from the genny, but there wasn’t the last time I lookedHave you got a diesel heater or water heater.
My French mistress is very much like my second engine. It doesn’t exist ??Could you not get your French mistress to take a look?…….she’ll be younger and more bendy no doubt![]()
