Fuel Primer Bulb

Hi All,

Just got a small 4hp second hand outboard engine with fuel line and external fuel can. I notice it does not have a primer bulb on the fuel line so my question is will I need one ? I am new to this so don't know if its absolutely necessary or not.

without a primer bulb you've got no chance of getting the fuel out of the can and into the carb - so YES, definitely need one !!
